Today, Tuesday 9th of August 2011

Hi again

Today was awfully exciting!

In talent development we stared to plan our stories. I am writing one with Jemma. Our story is about two girls going to a school camp in the woods to learn how to survive, but the thing is they have never been camping before. After lunch I did Profiling and Drama workshops. In Drama we did a game where you ask questions and your not allowed to say yes, no or hesitate.

Tuesday 2nd August 2011

Hi Guys!!!

Hope you all had a great holiday.

Today was exciting but kind of gutting too.
Well you see we are doing Talent Development instead of Passion Projects (see posts from last year). As much as this is awesome I was really looking forward to doing Passion Projects. But oh well. This time our options were, storytelling, making documentaries and art of different kinds. I choose story telling this week until lunch time did "Stop and Think" activities on 5 different fairytales. I did Beauty and the Beast plus Cinderella. At lunchtime I went to aerobics practice because the big aerobics competition is on this weekend, so wish me and my team good luck!!! After that I went to P4C (Philosophy for Children) which was about a book called The Giving Tree. We discussed that sometimes making other people happy, makes you happy.

(As always) I will write more next week.

Love,

Madi :)

Teacher comment

Madison you have persisted with your project this past term, to reach the final goal. You will have made many families in Japan happy with your donation of baby clothes! You have kept a positive attitude when you have come across challenges along the way, and you have managed your time well in order to complete your must dos and can dos. Keep up the great effort!

Today

Hi again,

This week I am really nervous..... and excited!!! It's only one more week for passion projects and it's stressing me out! Today I am going to Aerobics practice at school. You know what they say, practice makes perfect! Also we are picking up the baby clothes from school. I bet there is like 12 hundred million in the office, (ok, exaggerating a little bit). Today the only workshop running is P4C (Philosophy for Children) and I went to that last week. Brooke is coming in late. Our next job will be sorting through all the baby clothes and getting them ready to send to Japan. For the rest of the day, I am going to go through my Must Do / Can Do sheet to check that I am up to date.

I will write more next week (I will fill you in for the holidays because it is the last week).

Love,

Madi :)

Tuesday 28th June 2011

Hi Guys. Today I wasn't at Enrich till 12.30 because I went to the Sound of Music (a play). I got three new emails for Brendan (plunket)! After lunch I went to P4C with Katie. This week we were discussing "If little things should bother you." I think I am a bit of a perfectionist! That means I don't like to do things if I know I can't do well.

Write more next week.

Love,

Madi:)

Today

Hi Guys.

Today was awesome!!!! Well in the morning I did P4C (Philosophy for Children) because Brooke was late. It was about doubting. The main question was "Can you doubt that you exist?". We after a long time in deep thought we finally came up with an answer. You can not doubt that you exist because you have to think to doubt and you can't think if you exist. You can think you do not exist but to think that you would have to exist. In order to doubt you exist you have to exist in some form. Confusing, hey! Then I sent an email to Brendan (plunket) for an update but he was on a course and had limited email access. After morning tea I offered to help film Ruby and Maddie for their television ad. Then Brooke arrived. Later we went to the nearest intersection to film. After lunch we had a 5 minute perfectionism task and THAT was fun. After lunch I finished off my email and article for school. Now I am posting to you.

Gotta go.

Love,

Madi :)
